Winter Beauty

Yes, I realize we are well into Spring, but I was unable to show these images until they were released in a Montana publication for an ad for a Womans clothing boutique. I love secret projects….but it’s oh so hard to keep from showing images that I absolutely love! Finally….the time has come.

This was shot on a frozen lake…with Big Mountain as the backdrop. Absolutely stunning and amazing to use the natural outdoors for this shoot. Goodness, Montana is a beautiful-secret-place.

week 32

I hope all you mommas….and soon-to-be mommas had a wonderful MOTHERS DAY weekend!

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here in Whitefish lately….Spring has sprung! I am reminded all over again of why this place I call home is so special. Yes, we have long winters, but Spring half of Spring, Summer and Fall are breathtaking. The views….in every direction that you look….are like a giant painting. Perfection! I’ll show you what I’m talking about very soon! It also makes for perfect frozen yogurt weather, which is always a good thing.

Well our little guy is moving around like crazy….with the occasional hiccups! So funny! He’s weighing in around 3.75 pounds [think COCONUTS!!] and is about 16.7 inches long- taking up A LOT of room! He also has toenails, fingernails and real hair!!! – following treats and healthy nails at askhealth –  Oooooh I wonder what color hair he will have ?!?! Any guesses? (Found this tristandining – clear nails plus perfect for your nails)

I discovered a treat for our toenail, visit Pure Nails Pro and find information.

We have a “crash course” birthing class on Saturday….should be interesting!

Have a great week, my friends!
XOXO

p.s YES, the coconut os cracked in half….because mr. reed decided to toss this thing up in the air a few times….and well, it dropped! leaking everywhere….good times!

OUTFIT DETAILS:: grey tank: Ross | pink pants: Target | glitter flats: Jcrew | bracelets: Jcrew | headband: Etsy* [can’t remember the shop, but I’ll ask miss Elsie Larson because she introduced me to the adorable shop a few years ago!].

week 31

Well, I have graduated from once a month doctor appointments to every 2 weeks!

We also toured the Birthing Center last week, which was pretty amazing. For someone who has spent much time in scary and sterile hospital situations [with my younger sister, Melissa….who recently received her wings in Heaven], this tour was a breath of fresh air. The focus of this Birthing Center is truly around family, life & joy…and is very accommodating to how each individual mother chooses to deliver her baby. The natural world and medical world have completely collided at this place….pretty amazing!

Lots of movement from our bebe boy! I’ll admit that I was responsible for his bad case of the hiccups on Cinco De Mayo! The huz and I went out for Mexican Food and I ate the BIGGEST enchilada ever made! Every bit of it was gone. My plate was cleared. Reed couldn’t believe his eyes…..or his ears when I wanted to order chips and queso to go! And no, this Mexican Restaurant does not have queso….so my dinner ended right then and there. HA!

According to my app, this week our little guy is about 16 inches long and weighs 3.5 pounds [try carrying four navel oranges!].

A House Warming Party

We had a few friends over [back in November] to cozy up our little house in the woods….with their presence and laughter over chili, corn bread, warm beverages and sweet treats. Such a fun evening. I truly enjoy small gatherings of people that I love. There’s nothing better.

I’ve posted a few images of our home here, but once I get our nursery set up….I’ll post an updated tour!

My friends here in Montana are so creative- there’s definitely not a lack of inspiration out here. So thankful! When I mentioned wanting to throw a House Warming Party, my friend Carrie of Cue The Confettiimmediately jumped on board to help plan the festivities! Her love for details runs deep and we had such a fun time dreaming up ideas for this.

The invitations were my most favorite element! We got crazy creative with the whole “moving” theme. We used small cardboard boxes, electric blue tape and sharpie markers to create “moving boxes” in which we placed the invitations into. We carried the “moving tape” element into the paper goods/decor.

My friend Ashley of Thorn + Sparrow illustrated the invitations for us, which I absolutely adore! She just opened up an etsy shop so be sure and check out her beautiful designs that she will be unveiling in the next few weeks!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

A Collaborative Desktop Download

I absolutely love to change up the desktop image on my computer. I love an encouraging word and an inspiring image to stir up new creativity through out the month.

A few of my favorite desktop downloads were from Shanna Murray, but she hasn’t been releasing them lately…..so I decided to collaborate with my dear friend Ashley of Thorn + Sparrow and create our very own for the month of May!

We wanted this to not only serve as a quick calendar reference, but more of an encouragement and inspiration to you. Reed reminded me of this quote and we thought it was a perfect way to kick off this desktop series.

Opportunities don’t always look the way we think they should. However, you could very well be standing at the perfect starting point to begin that dream….or take that risk.
