I had the honor of collaborating with Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman on a brand new Photography Tip Series for the “A Beautiful Mess” blog.

I’ve followed this blog for a while now…and absolutely adore the hearts and passion these girls have for the creative community. They are the real deal. Needless to say, I was stoked to partner with them on this fantastic project around photography, which is obviously a love of mine.

We are putting together a total of 10 Photography Tips and the 1st one [5 Tips for great outdoor photos] has been posted on the blog…..be sure and keep up with these posts and let us know if they’ve helped you out in some way. Elsie and Emma put a lot of thought into this project and they really wanted to answer many of the questions they have been asked in the past. I really love this series and believe these tips will definitely help those who are passionate about photography and taking better photos!

Thanks for stopping by….I’m so glad you are here! Feel free to introduce yourself and leave your blog url in the comments below. I’d love to get to know you!

Dreams Do Come True…

HELLO friends!

This past week was pretty magical. I had the honor of collaborating and spending the week with two of my favorite creative bloggers:: Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman of “A Beautiful Mess.”

I stumbled upon Elsie’s blog about 3 years ago. I loved all of the beautiful photos and hand drawn elements on her blog and website. I was instantly drawn to her drive and passion in life, especially when it comes to people and business…and over the years, we became internet buddies. Since then….I secretly prayed that we would have an opportunity to work together!

Elsie has not only inspires me as an artist, but she has helped me in many ways along my photography and business journey. Elsie created all the cute doodles and handwriting on my website and she was a great sounding board as my husband and I were knee deep in details while opening up our retail shop, The Red Caboose Frozen Yogurt + Coffee!

When I received an email from Elsie about collaborating on a top secret project with her….my heart jumped for joy! I loved that I was able to contribute to their project….since these girls have been there for me in so many ways. It was a fantastic week indeed….and I can’t wait to show you what all we’ve been working on! COMING SOON…

The point here is this:: Keep making those creative goals and believe in them.

Here’s my week in Instagram Photos::

Life just got a little sweeter….

Many of you know that 2010 was quite the ride for Reed and I. Oh how I miss my dad and little sister.

We pressed in hard. We sought the Lord like never before. We took great risks like never before. We BELIEVED like never before.

2010 was a year of growth and sharpening. There was a refining that took place that shaped me into a completely new person….a little less noise from the world and a lot more strength and confidence in who I am, and what the Lord has called me to in my life.

It’s no secret that Reed and I are busy little bees. Life really hasn’t slowed down since our move to Montana..and next month will be the ONE YEAR anniversary of our frozen yogurt + coffee shop, the Red Caboose! WOW! Can’t believe it!! It’s been a big year indeed!

2011 was year of ALL THINGS NEW. Trading ashes for beauty. Open arms….being ALL IN….ready to receive new gifts and assignments. Little did I know that this would include our very own GIFT OF LIFE…..

We’re having a BABY!
Due:: July 2012

It’s refreshing to finally share this news with YOU! We’ve kept this to ourselves for quite some time. In all honesty, I needed some time to process a few things. Emotions were already running at an all time high, but bits and pieces of 2010 came flooding back and I couldn’t help but think of those few phone calls that I wouldn’t be making. I have also had to face major fear issues when it comes to doctors, hospitals and needles…all which will be [and already has been] part of my life. Once again, our awesome God has stepped in and covered me in peace, which has lead me to a place of JOY and EXCITEMENT!

One of my favorite texts that I recently received was from my dear friend Vanessa….such powerful words of LIFE::

And what about this Facebook message I received from a friend in Nashville….and about 10 days later….this really came to pass, before we even knew it! Amazing!

We shared the news with our families over the holidays- Thanksgiving and Christmas, which was so much fun! Everyone is thrilled and excited about this new addition….especially my 2 yr old nephew who keeps telling everyone “Aunt Kelli is having a baby!!!” Whew! Thank goodness he’s too young for Facebook- this news would have been out long ago! HA!

Some FAQ’s a few other details::
We don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl. I mean, would I love to dress a girl up and have her sport the cutest little bob?!? Yes, but we are focused on a healthy baby..and will take whatever has already been created specifically for us.

Morning Sickness….did NOT exist! However, this night owl went from going to bed at 1am to 8pm!

I made it through the first doctor appointment and I did not throw a fit while they took lots of blood from my arm. The day was actually amazing and couldn’t have been better. Such a blessing! We got to hear the babys heartbeat…..and that’s when the tears came streaming down. To hear the signs of LIFE inside of me….from a little person whom we have yet to meet…..blows our mind. We are in love….already.

I am so thankful for Gods provision. He has placed specific women in my life who are wise, solid, inspiring and encouraging who have walked this journey before me. You ladies know who you are- thank you for walking alongside of me. I love you so much! Reed and I have never been alone….and we will not be alone in this. Thank you, Jesus!

Well, there you have it…..the Trontels will soon be a family of three! We are honored to be chosen for such a responsibility and are excited to have you, our friends, be part of this new season in life with us!

XOXO,
kelli + reed

“To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.” -Isaiah 61:3

the Boling family.

It’s no secret how much I adore this family.

Greg is the reason I picked up my photography wings and began to fly. Brooke is a creative buddy and dear friend of mine. She is absolutely gorgeous, an amazing wife to Greg and the sweetest momma to her adorable little girl, Parker.

Although there are miles and miles between us, we have been intentional about connecting often and for that I am so thankful. I really believe that it’s important to have creative buddies….people you can be open and honest with and most importantly, someone who will be HONEST with you about your wild [and maybe not so hot] ideas!

Brooke and I recently shot a wedding together in Spokane, WA which was also featured on Style Me Pretty! Collaborating with her is definitely one my favorite things to do.

During my most recent trip to Nashville in October, I had the opportunity to photograph the Boling family. We had such a fun time wondering around a part of town that I miss the most- Downtown Franklin.

I miss and love you guys….xoxo
