A few changes…

I have officially changed the title of my blog…..did you notice?! Take a look!

My life is in transition and it only makes sense for my blog to go through the same, right?

My dear friend, Elsie, really encouraged me to take blogging to the next level while I spent a few days collaborating with her in February. I was totally inspired after our time together…and she’s been a source of encouragement as I have wrapped my mind around my blog these past few months.

I love to write. I love to share stories through images. I love life. I love to share my JOY, PASSION and INSPIRATION with YOU…..yes, YOU!

So, this blog here is going to be more of a LIFESTYLE blog….where I blog my life, which includes PHOTOGRAPHYBUSINESSBABY ect….this should be fun! Will you join me?!?

And speaking of changes…..
Every morning….I wake up with a slightly bigger belly.

week 23

Can I just say that I am super excited to be having this baby in the summertime?!? There’s something magical about the weather here in July….and this weekend we had a tiny peek at what that feels like again. Although the weather was in the high 50′s…the sun was out….and it just lifted everyones spirits. The winters are long here….and this California girl looks forward to signs of Springtime!

I absolutely love what my app had to say this week::

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With a sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance.

Our little guy is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound!

Skull Church | One Year Lookbook

I’ve had the privilege and honor of documenting SKULL CHURCH for my pastor, Levi Lusko at Fresh Life Church this past year. Last nights party [with Eisley] marked ONE YEAR since I documented my very first Skull Church event…..These evenings never get old and continues to rock my world- every single month. Seeing people make the most important decision they will ever make in their entire life….is truly the most beautiful sight to see.

Skull Church is an explicitly evangelistic event centered on the good news about Jesus Christ. Specifically targeting a lost generation that doesn’t know God, isn’t necessarily “into” church, and desperately needs Jesus. Each event features music from the Skull Church band and a concert from a guest artist or band. The cornerstone of the night is a gospel message from Pastor Levi Lusko. Real. Relevant. Raw. You can always catch this event LIVE online here:: http://www.skullchurch.com

John 19:17-18 says, “Carrying the cross by himself, he (Jesus) went to the place called Place of the Skull. There they nailed him to the cross.” (NLT) The most beautiful thing that has ever happened in history occurred in a place of death, God died in our place. Skull Church is a platform to amplify the message of what happened on that skull-shaped hill to a lost world.

Photographing Skull Church really stretched me as an artist. Since this is a monthly event- my goal was to shoot this with a different perspective every single time. I didn’t want my photographs to look exactly the same month to month. I was challenged to find a new story, keeping my art fresh….and work with super low [and always changing] light sources.

Pastor Levi is such a HUGE encouragement and inspiration to me. His enthusiasm about the creative arts is unreal…and has shaped me as an artist and has challenged me to raise the bar in all that I do. Thanks so much, Pastor Levi!

Little did I know that photography and music would collide for me. I also never dreamed that I would be part of a movement this massive-this passionate-this REAL….here in Kalispell, Montana. So thankful that God is using me in a creative way here in Montana. I am honored to part of Fresh Life and to be partnered with like-minded people who are “ALL IN” and daily lay their life down to MAKE JESUS FAMOUS!

I look forward to seeing how Skull Church will be used this next year!

Here’s a lookbook of my favorite images from this past year…
[Yikes! This was hard to narrow down].

week 22

This baby boy is definitely becoming more active. It started out as little movements in the evening or early morning, but now he’s exploring and getting cozy more often through out the day! So fun!

I have a new favorite drink this week….besides water, of course….and it’s Orange Creme Soda by Blue Sky. Oh my! Have you tried it?

Well, our little guy is about 11 inches and weighs almost 1 pound!

Week 21

This week consisted of hosting a big presentation for business owners in my community, lots of photoshoots, late night chats and laughs, cookies and milk, setting up a registry….and all of this took place with my dear friend Vanessa [of butterflyspArks], who was in town from Dallas, TX! She left this morning…and I miss her already!

Well, our little guy is definitely continuing to grow.

  • I felt a lot more activity this week….and the huz got to feel a few moments of movements as well! He’s loving this!

This week’s update….our little guy weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long- about the length of a carrot! We’ve come a long way since the little avocado!

Speaking of CARROT. I used to hate my red hair when I was younger. I remember asking my mom to dye my hair blonde….you know, to fit in with everyone else [in Orange County, CA]. To this very day she says “don’t mess with your red hair!!” It’s funny how our perspectives change as we grow older, especially as artists. “Blending in” isn’t something that I strive for everyday. So, as I colored my hair to make it even more red this week…I embrace being a “carrot top” and having pale skin too! It’s silly that I ever cared about being different.

Thank you for all the sweet comments around this series….so encouraging! It’s been nice to meet so many new bloggers!

Have a fabulous week, friends!
