First Bike!

IMG_9646
We bought Ezra his very first bike today…..my baby has a BIKE!!!

We opted for the no pedal-balance bike….starting him young!

My baby….is not so baby anymore. I’m slowly coming to terms with this.

In one sense his babe characteristics came through as he was scared to actually be on the bike, but he had no problem whatsoever lifting the bike up off the ground, while walking around the parking lot with it….like a boss. Such a stud. Gosh, I love him.

As funny as it may seem….Reed pulled up a youtube video of a toddler riding this exact bike and it actually gave Ezra a boost of confidence to try it himself! He’ll try anything he sees another “baby” do.

This one is for the books….a huge step forward in growth and development.

Sweet Ezra, we look forward to many family bike rides with you this summer….you have such an adventurous and curious spirit….we love experiencing this world through your eyes. We love you, little man. XOXO

March Wallpaper!

I love the woods and I love the forrest.

It’s not just one thing that makes those places magical, but the atmosphere….the combination of what we see and what we smell. Its the textures….the moss, the flowers and the trees.

This quote really resonates with me this month….as a creative, as a wife and as mother. It’s easy to focus on the big stuff- but it’s the effort we put into the small, day to day and even mundane tasks…that makes the biggest impact. Our attention, our intentionality our thoughtfulness….

I’ve been wanting to scale back on a few things this year….so that I can really pour my heart into the things that are right in front of me- this is my marriage, this is my son, this is our cafe, this is in leading worship at my church ect….Our efforts have a bigger impact than we may ever know….and thats the exciting part!

I’m an advocate for dreaming big, but let this be an encouragement to you that the smallest of things matter….and play an important role in the big stuff down the road.

Be encouraged my friends! XO

meghan - Hi! I found this image on Pinterest and wondered if I could please use it in a guest post I’m doing for Renaissance Secondary School in Colorado. Of course I would fully attribute it you. It really fits the outward bound feel of the school and would match well with the series I’m doing on character traits. One of their big things is parts affecting the whole. Thank you so much. Hope to hear from you – I have to submit my post by 08/31/16.
